TAM TAM CAFE HOI AN

Cool colonial hangout with a view

Constructed in 1932 by the French, Tam Tam cafe originally served as a colonial residence, then later a tea warehouse. It's also Hoi An's longest running bar. Though these days the focus has tipped towards dining, the building's wonderful balcony overlooking Nguyen Thai Hoc Street (our favourite feature of the cafe) is one of the best spots to indulge in a bit of people watching with a chilled glass of wine or beer and to escape the lantern festival crowds, but still feel part of the festivities.
