HAPPY BUFFALO HOI AN
Cool & quirky hangout with a killer sunset view
This season’s bar openings offer a glimpse not only into the next chapters for Hoi An's social scene, but also the larger drinking trends they embody. Fortunately, for those in search of fun times and the ultimate margarita, it ain't all expensive craft beer and sports.
Among the more unexpected openings this season is The Happy Buffalo - it ticks all the boxes for ambience, view and great food. More than that, owners Lindsay and Evan have a cracking sense of humour and a sixth sense when it comes to what makes a great bar and restaurant.
Eat: Everything on the menu
Drink: Cocktails, beer, wine.. shots are inevitable
Tapas style local fare from the delicious sampling menu
WHAT TO ORDER
Everything on the menu is lip-smackingly good, but standouts are the cao lau cheese bites, spring rolls and the cheesy banh xeo pizza
Cua Dai Street: not far from the bridge
Cold beers here will set you back a whopping 15,000d (that's less than a Dollar)
The most sociable seats are at the bar, but the best views are had from the seats at the back.
